Review:
Insiders is a single-player open-world survival game set inside the human body. The player needs to explore the environment, complete quests, obtain resources, craft items, build bases, and fight microorganisms such as viruses, parasites, and bacteria.
Story:
The incidence of cancer among people has increased dramatically in this era, and the only cure is found within our body. The technology to shrink physical objects and living beings down to microscopic size has recently been discovered, and you and your ship have been shrunk down and injected inside one critically ill patient with multiple diseases in order to find a potential cure.
The patient is quickly dying, and you are humanity’s last hope to eradicate this terrible disease once and for all. Can you find a cure for cancer? Or are you going to find something else?
Gameplay:
It's a one-way journey, your ship needs fuel and air to keep its systems running. You can collect resources from dead microbes or extract minerals from the blood and nutrients from inside the body. You can then transform these resources into important items that will help you in your mission.
You can create weapons, mine lasers, shields, engines and other ship components. You can also upgrade your ship's software to increase speed and energy.
The battle:
Your ship can use its shields to block enemy attacks, or use evasive maneuvers to dodge enemy projectiles or escape. You have guns and beam weapons at your disposal. Over time, you will learn to create even more advanced weapons and improve your ship to fight stronger enemies.
Cleaning:
AI-manned crashed ships from previous missions can be found inside the human body. These wrecks may contain resources, special items, upgraded weapons, and ship upgrades useful to your mission and survival.
Base building:
The construction system is similar to a construction set. First you will need to create a basic frame and attach important buildings to it for your survival. You can create and build bases to store resources, repair your ship, and instantly teleport between bases.
You can also build automated factories to produce advanced items and weapons. Warning: This game contains flashing lights which may make it unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions. The player is advised to exercise caution.
